Being a mother I cannot help but believe that life begins at conception. That life legally deserves the same rights as any life.
However, I cannot mandate that all abortions should be banned. For example: A pregnant mother, who has other children, and faces possible death by continuing her pregnancy.
With the pill and so many other things that can prevent unwanted pregnancies, it does not make sense to: 1. use abortion as a means of birth controll
2. prevent sexually active teenagers from using birth controll. Abstenance is ideal, but the distruction to human life is avoidable.
I am not against it, but am concerned about abuses like we now have with organ transplant.
I am not against organ transplants either. However there are poor people selling their organs to feed their families, and more affluent taking advantage of their poverty. We also have some countries selling organs of political prisoners who have had mysterious deaths.
Good things can be abused, but that does not mean we should not allow the good to take place. It does mean we need to protect human rights.
Good question, and excellent research KJ. I will get back with you on this as your attached videos intrigue me.
