AIG Bonuses/ Congress implicated
Congress questioned Libby as to why he had given bonuses to executives responsible for the failing banking system...namely AIG executives. During the interrogation it was revealed that Senators (Dodd one of them) wrote a clause in the Bailout Bill that made it legally difficult for Libby to avoid paying thse bonuses.
When questioned by CNN all denied doing this dirty deed that cost the taxpayers 155 million. Finally Dodd admitted recalling having part of putting it in at the last minute, but said it was on the advice of Obama's Treasury Dept. Tim Geithner seems to be implicated, but things seem rather vague as stories keep changing.
