Jackcksonville Pork could save teacher jobs for kids

The link below shows you an aerial view of the Jacksonville Florida Equestrian Center. City tax dollars maintain it, and contributed to it's construction. It also has a large area maintained for horse back riding in the near by Forrest.

When the dirt road was paved to the riding area, property owners willing gave land so that no telephone polls would have to be moved. However there is a written city rule that states that land will be taken from the middle of the road, and extended equally on each side. Sounds good. but here are the facts:

• This was a dirt road (dirt roads move). Cars originally drove on one side of the telephone poles (where the deed designated). But when it flooded cars would drive on the other side where the higher ground was making the poles appear as though they were in the middle of the road.
• The City of Jacksonville insisted on using large sums of taxpayer money to move the electric poles, wires and all)
• Neighbors argued that it would make more sense to move the road...common sense saving the taxpayers needed money.
• City officials explained that is not how business is done with the City...you the tax payer shelled out millions. If it is in writing they must follow it no matter how stupid.

That would not be a serious problem if needed school teachers were not facing loss of jobs due to a budget shortage. On the Federal and City books are many such stupid laws, and no one is allowed to out think what is in writing.

John Dingell (D-MI) rightly pointed out recently, "cap and trade is a tax, and it's a great big one." Estimates are that this national energy tax would cost the average American family $3900 per year! TAKE ACTION NOW to send a letter to your Representative and Senators, asking them to vote NO on any cap and trade scheme that comes before them in Congress. We have heard encouraging statements from both Democrats and Republicans on this issue who are concerned about the billions of dollars in new taxes and job losses that will result from a cap and trade scheme.

We need to focus on encouraging those Members of Congress that are opposed to cap and trade to stand their ground. Together, we can work to defeat this terrible idea that will harm our economy at a time of real vulnerability.

We need to be very careful about public places, do not travel to Mexico,
wash our hands frequently, and avoid strangers...and get a flu shot as

I tell you these things because I care about your welfare. Please allow me to relate a personal experience. In March 2005, I pumped my gasat the corner of Rainbow and Tropicana. I did not wash my hands afterward (there are no hand-wash stations at gas stations). My face and eyes were itchingso, after I pumped my gas, I rubbed my face and eyes with my hands. Two days later, alone, and scared, I spiked a 103 fever and was flat on my back for a week...this disease seemed like something that "had gotten loose from the army," like a weaponized flu.

Twice in my life, 1969 (Hong Kong Flu), and 1992, the flu became pneumonia, and I almost died. I have a great respect for this disease called the flu. Rumors that the current Swine Flu are weaponized flu are not proven. Sanitation is everything. Letter to our President

Roma writes: I must disagree in part with this letter.

1. I personally think Obama and Michelle have done an excellent job with foreign affairs. I have not seen anyone this good since President and Jaquelin Kennedy. Could Obama have made a few blunders in this area...sure. But he is a heck of allot better than Bush, who challenged and offended just about everyone. The only person that does not make a mistake is the guy who does nothing.

He also handled the recent pirate situation exceptionally well, demonstrating he walks softly but carries a big stick. One might recall how long it took Bush to respond to events like Katrina.

2. On the economic issues is where I strongly disagree with Obama. I also do not like his broken promises about no Lobbyists in his administration, "buy American", foreign trade and outsourcing. The increased debt to China is also very troubling

We knew his and McCain's misguided stance on amnesty, and on the bail Out before the election, and that is exactly why I voted independent this year for the time. I am glad I did.

3. . My research tells me that our Founding Fathers where Christian, and had come from a very intolerant Christian society. So they tried not to impose their set of Christian beliefs on others.

However, they did clearly state a belief in God in many places....even the dollar bill.

Before World War II many Americans were not very tolerant of the Jewish, Claiming they had killed Jesus. Hitler showed us what that sort of intolerance is capable of becoming. So we opened our hearts to the Jewish community, and began calling ourselves Judeo- Christian. If we do not learn from our past , we are doomed to repeat them.

My reasons for passing this along is not to offend any of you - I know some of you are Democrats and supported Obama during the election - but in fact, to present another illustration of the need to DEFEND this country against the actions that this president has taken. Surely, none of us can accept that fact, without criticism, that our grandchildren are very likely to spend their entire lives in debt - or something worse.

There was another man that wooed and wowed his people, to the point that it cost millions of them their lives. True Story

I was just talking with HP technical support in the Philippines. We were talking about how globalization, specifically NAFTA, had hurt Mexico.

I told him how the building of factories there displaced many Mexican farmers, and how they hired farmers and other workers. Things were good for a time, but when they found cheaper labor in China they moved business out of Mexico to China leaving destroyed farm land, and jobless workers.

He said the same thing happened in the Philippines when they found cheaper labor in India. I told him how the same thing has happened in the U.S.

Hi Cathy, The Near East, together with Egypt, is called "the Cradle of Civilization."

Zoroaster was born 2000 years BEFORE Jesus.

Mohamed was born, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, 700 years AFTER Jesus,
and therefore Mohamed was born 2700 years AFTER Zoroaster.

Muslims started their conquests from Mecca in 600 A.D.
They moved north to Iran and found the (Iranian) Persian Zoroastrian Empire
in chaos. At that time,it was the largest Empire, that had lasted over 2000 years. ( Adolf Hitler, eat your heart out for wanting the 3rd Reich to last a 1000 years.) To the surprise of both the Zoroastrian Iranians and the Arab Muslims, the Muslims won.

My Zoroastrian ancestors fled from the Muslims, and moved from mountain top-to-top in Iran. for about a 100 years. Finally, exhausted, they left Iran in 700 A.D. and fled to India. I call them the FIRST Pilgrim Fathers as they left 700 years before the Pilgrim Fathers and also for religious reasons. They went EAST however, not WEST.
Zoroastrians in India are known as PARSIS, a name derived both from the port of Fars, Iran from where they set sail for India, and from the language they spoke, FARSI.
Mahatma Ghandi once said, "In population the Parsis are pathetic,BUT in accomplishment they are BEYOND COMPARE."
There are only 70,000 Parsis in an Indian population of nearly a Billion.
Much less than the population of one small city in the USA, namely Jacksonville, Florida.
A laughable miniscule number. And 90% of them live in the city of Mumbai, which was in the news recently for terrorist attack. Guess our national leaders didn't expect this, hmm? On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton , Colorado , was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.

They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert!

These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness. The following is a portion of the transcript:

"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.

"The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.

"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent.

I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best. This was written way before I knew I would be speaking here today:

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You've stripped away our heritage,
You've outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere, And ask the question "Why?"
You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

"Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history.

Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties.

We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.

"As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!

My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!" Do what the media did not - -

Graner was in 2005 sentenced to 10 years in a military prison on charges of conspiracy, dereliction of duty, maltreatment of detainees and other counts.

If the government had admitted that at the time, then they would have been obligated to dismiss the case against Graner because he was following orders, just as we had said at that time," Womack said.

"They perpetrated a fraud on the court by successfully concealing that this was government policy and it was approved by higher government authorities than those poor MPs on the ground at Abu Ghraib."

It is outrageous when Ramos, Compion, and Garner are imprisoned for doing their job, while a drug lord, and politicians are freed of all charges. The American people are outraged when border patrol agents and soldiers have to worry about going to prison for following orders and doing their job.

If this is to be stopped we must call for an investigation as to why these things are happening (That includes an audit of the Federal Reserve). We owe it to our Border Patrol agents and our soldiers to put an end to such criminal behavior from our leaders.

Supporters of the "One World Order" (Globalization) are not conspirators. They sincerely believe that we now could face world collapse if we do not have one governing body for the whole world. Constitutionalists and Libertarians argue that the proof is in the podding. the U.S. Founding Fathers studied the most successful governments in history to create the Constitution, and created the most successful form of government the world has ever seen. They further point out that history shows that "Power corrupts, and absolute Power corrupts absolutely".

The more power that is concentrated in the hands of the few, the more corrupt that power becomes. Many use the Chinese Government, Communist Russia, the Federal Reserve, global businesses, and global banks as a perfect example of such corruption resulting from control being placed in the hands of the few.

The last "Harry Potter" book was a very good argument in favor of individual rights when it showed how "one fits all" rules stifle individual creativity . Communist Russia was a living example of the same...showing how it actually creates poverty.

The debate continues as the United States now faces a cross roads as to which direction it will go. I would be very curious to hear your thoughts on this ongoing debate. I guess you know my stance on the subject since I attended the "Tea Party", but I encourage honest debate. Debate with ideas and free of insults is respectful communication.

DHS Profiling

The following is actually a good sign. When those in power begin to fear they are loosing control it is a normal reaction (in any organization). Ross Perott actually received death threats against him and his family when he ran for president. Martin Luther King experienced the same profiling and threats.

But non-violent leaders like Gahandi, and Martin Luther King accomplished far more than leaders like Che Rivera and Malcolm X even though both factions had much the same goals.

2nd Report in Recent Weeks Warns of Violence by “Right Wing Extremists”

Lancaster, PA (April 15, 2009).The US Department of Homeland Security has issued a report warning law enforcement to pay close attention to “right wing extremists.” The DHS report titled Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment is the second such report which labels those with a conservative political ideology as potentially violent.

The Constitution Party, the fastest growing third party in America, decries the report as a calculated effort to demonize those who adhere to the concept of limited, Constitutional government.

In the report, issued on April 7th, the DHS warns of potential violence by “right-wing extremists” who, the report says, can be found among those against illegal immigration, increased federal power and taxation, gun control, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty. The report mentions returning war veterans as being particularly threatening, saying the “recession” is fueling radical “recruiting” of the military.

“This propaganda coming from the United States government should enrage each and every hard working American across the political spectrum”, said Constitution Party National Committee Chairman Jim Clymer.

“Especially the demonizing of veterans who gave so much while fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. It’s reprehensible that those brave men and women are being eyed with such unwarranted suspicion,” Clymer added.

The DHS report comes on the heels of a report in Missouri which made similar mischaracterizations last month, saying those who follow third party candidates like Constitution Party presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin and Libertarian Bob Barr should be suspect. The Missouri Information Analysis Center’s (MIAC) warning to law enforcement was compiled with the help of the DHS but was later denounced by the Missouri State Police Chief as a “political attack”(http://wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=93067).

The Constitution Party calls on Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to likewise acknowledge her department’s April 7th report as a political attack, and rescind the damaging document.

“This is an egregious case of political profiling. The timing of this report - to coincide with tax protests across the country - should not be lost on Americans. It’s indeed a frightening reality when those who subscribe to a Constitutionally- based political view are characterized as potentially “violent,” Clymer noted.

Freedom Works Tea Party

I went to the Jacksonville Florida Landing Tea Party, and thought you might like to hear from someone who was there.

It was bipartisan with Republicans Democrats and Independents. There were Obama Bashers and supporters...a large diverse group there. but everyone agreed that we needed to go by the laws of the Constitution, and change the Tax structure.

The Republican Caucus was there passing out fliers in the crowd, and trying to hook their wagon to the event by proclaiming that they have always been for these things...NOT.

Some of you know Dr. Jim Neilus. He is a Neuro surgeon here in Jacksonville, and spoke at the event. His topic was "Preserving the Constitution:" He quoted our Founding Fathers by saying "Taxation without representation is Tyranny". He asked "Do you feel represented?"

An amazing local 10 year old girl by the name of Rebecca sang " My Prayer for America." She was awesome!

The speakers let it be known there were lots of groups there passing out fliers, but only the ones at tables represented beliefs of the "Freedom Works."

Obama's Economic Plan

I hope our first black president succeeds. It would do this country a great deal of good. I do not know as much as others about the banking end of the crises. But I do know this:

The mortgage meltdown is not the only part of the economy where greed was allowed to destroy financial stability in this Country. As long as we are:

• outsourcing
• hiring illegally (displacing American workers for less capable cheaper labor)
• allowing the most wealthy to pay 0 taxes (with the greatest burden on the middle class)
• increasing debt to Communist China
• unprotected borders (globalization)
• NAFTA
• shipping our manufacturing out of the country (forgetting that the so called uneducated have been among our greatest producers/ as if only the college educated have something to offer this Country)
• HI B visas (displacing American workers for less capable cheaper labor)
• firing American firefighters because they do not speak Spanish
• the high cost of the IRS
• an unchecked and unregulated Federal Reserve......

The causes of the "Economic Crises" are not being fully dealt with.

Florida Study Reveals High Cost of Illegal Immigration and Voter Dissatisfaction

A new Zogby International poll shows that Florida voters think that illegal immigration is hurting the Sunshine State by an overwhelming margin. A new FAIR study confirms the poll, finding that illegal immigration costs Florida taxpayers $3.8 billion annually, which is double from 2005.

The Zogby poll found that 71.3 percent of Florida voters believe that immigration has a negative impact on the state and 83.5 percent believe that illegal immigration has a negative impact on the state budget.

The FAIR study found that:

• 
  $3.4 billion a year to educate illegal immigrant children and the U.S. born children of illegal immigrants.
• 
  $290 million a year on unreimbursed health care for illegal aliens.
• 
  $90 million a year to incarcerate criminal illegal aliens.
• 
  The total represents an annual cost to each of Florida's native-born headed households of $678.
• 
  The study also estimates Florida's illegal population to be 950,000, which is 7.3 percent of the nation's total illegal alien population. Florida has the fourth highest concentration of illegal aliens behind California, Texas and New York.

Note: Sometimes I think my actions are a waste of time...what can I do about these things. Then I remember something a very wise lady once told me. We were both involved in a grass roots organization that was up against the Governor of the State and other very powerful people who wanted to bring Navy hornets (very loud jets) to our Neighborhood. I said to her, "we are up against some very powerful people. Do you really think we have a chance?" Her reply was, " I understand how you feel. But what is the alternative...do nothing?" Let me point out that we did win the apparently impossible because we combined prayer with action.

When something boils over on the stove, do we only pray and meditate, or do we clean up the mess? The consequences of doing nothing here is even more damaging to our children and grandchildren than a mess on the stove . On behalf of your children and mine, tank you for doing what you can.

Amnesty Bill in Senat

This is a copy of a letter sent to my Senators and to the Obama administration about the current amnisty bill:
Dear Honorable Senator,

You will agree that in the past amnesty without border security was allowed, and has erupted into the current disaster causing upsurge in crime, city and federal deficits, and third world living conditions for many Americans.
No way would any in good conscience support the “Dream Act” before securing our borders with the following:

1. Extend E-Verify. Currently the administration is continually taking it out of Bills making us distrust promises to securing our borders.
2. Enforce existing laws by prosecuting illegal employers
3. Stop providing tax money for social services to illegal aliens, and instead fine the illegal employers to force them to provide the full cost of such services they now deprive their employees of.
4. Secure our borders by bringing the military in to defend our dangerously open borders.

Do these things before any “Dream Act” or other amnesty is considered. Thank you.

US House and Senate are about (in a week and a half) to vote on a bill that OUTLAWS ORGANIC FARMING (Bill HR 875). The name on this outrageous food plan is Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009 ... And, there is an enormous rush to get this into law within the next 2 weeks before people realize what is happening.

This bill must have been handled in a really stealthy manner, since it came out of nowhere in the last week. No doubt, the way it's backers, "the Agri-Giants" wanted it. Perhaps a coincidence with "Spring Break" and many people out of town in the weeks before. With enough congressmen signing bills without reading them, there's no time to sleep on this one. How do you organize all these small farmers tofight the big guys? Spread it far and wide my friends.

The main backer and lobbyist is Monsanto - chemical and genetic engineering giant corporation (and Cargill, ADM, and about 35 other related agri-giants) . This bill will require organic farms to use specific fertilizers and poisonous insect sprays dictated by a newly formed agency to "make sure there is no danger to the public food supply". This will include backyard gardens that grow food only for a family and not for sales.

If this passes then NO more heirloom clean seeds will be allowed, but only Monsanto genetically altered seeds that are now showing up with unexpected diseases in humans.
